"Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another’s skin, another’s voice, another’s soul."

"We read five words on the first page of a really good novel and we begin to forget that we are reading printed words on a page; we begin to see images."

Currently Reading: Delirium by Lauren Oliver

Amazon summary:

There was a time when love was the most important thing in the world. People would go to the end of the earth to find it. They would tell lies for it. Even kill for it. Then, at last, they found the cure. Now, everything is different. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Haloway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy. But then, with only ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable.

A friend of my brother had lent me this book along with an assortment of 8 other recently published YA fiction.

I find the premise of the story quite intriguing, ever since I heard of it sometime last year.

Now that I am reading it, what do I think?

Well, it’s too early to tell, I’m only barely through the first ten parts of it. But one thing I am sure of, it is promising. I hope to finish this book soon and be able to make a full review about it.

So look forward to the reviews of this book and all the others in the coming few weeks.

Cheers to all and may you have a brilliant weekend! ^_^
